Head of E-commerce

Permanent / Full time / 9-5pm Mon-Fri / Banbury based


The Head of E-commerce at Joma Jewellery and Katie Loxton takes strategic ownership and accountability for our visual and digital strategy for both brands, ensuring the successful delivery of our online retail and wholesale businesses. They are responsible for leading the E-commerce and Digital Marketing team, collaborating with our Marketing Manager, Managing Director and Design Team to deliver campaigns on time, to target and to budget. They also liaise with and oversee external agencies.

The Head of Ecommerce reports directly to the Managing Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Full P&L responsibility for the online business analysing return on spend to develop effective growth strategies.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure the online business operates in synergy with other areas of the business, helping to maximise opportunities across all channels.
  • Managing web developers to deliver customer-centric sites that strive to ensure customers receive the best possible service and experience to complement the brands.
  • Establishing, analysing and reporting on KPI’s to identify and develop growth opportunities.
  • Understanding and digesting website analytics to draw meaningful conclusions that inform strategies.
  • Analysing customer journeys and identifying trends such as conversion rates and drop off points to constantly improve conversion, sales and UX.
  • Where required making site content localised, relevant and tailored to the target market to ensure user journeys are customised and familiar to maximise conversion.
  • Leading the E-commerce and Digital Marketing team and overseeing the delivery of our digital marketing strategy.
  • Managing senior members of the team and ensuring all team members are managed in alignment with the team’s objectives and HR policies.
  • Engaging agencies as required to deliver a complete e-commerce proposition for the business.
  • Overseeing all digital marketing campaigns including Ad words, PPC, affiliate marketing, Google and social media shopping whilst ensuring that all campaigns are properly tracked and analysed.
  • Building the customer database and customer acquisition strategy. Maintain compliance with relevant local data protection laws and regulations.
  • Developing strong email marketing campaigns to maximise engagement and improve conversion.
  • Maintain awareness of new technologies to stay ahead of the curve, striving for the best possible service for customers and efficiencies. Staying current with best practices and industry developments.
  • Ensuring SEO best practices are followed across all sites.
  • Working with our Creative Director and Marketing team to enhance brand presence and keep the website up to date and relevant.
  • Successfully managing our online offering working with our online merchandiser.
  • Merchandising for seasonal web buys, forecasting and planning.
  • Contributing to product development.

 PERSONAL PROFILE:

  • Excellent Ecommerce and Digital Design experience gained within a consumer goods, retail environment in the fashion, jewellery or gifting industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the same or similar level role with a retail background, working with an enterprise-level platform.
  • A proven track record of delivering effective digital strategies and design solutions and proven to be Instrumental in vision and implementation of a company’s digital strategy.
  • Successfully recruited and managed online teams; (designers, content) and 3rd parties.
  • Excellent awareness of online promotional tools including web development, web UI design, usability, online media, social media, PPC, SEO, Banners and affiliates.
  • Strong knowledge of E-commerce platforms and functionality. While this position is a Business Development role, the candidate will need a technical awareness to use technology as an enabler for growth.
  • Experience managing multiple sites (on one platform or otherwise).
  • Understanding the requirements and mindset differences between a B2B and B2C customer.
  • Proven track record building customer databases and maximising use of data to drive sales.
  • Excellent market awareness and analytical skills. Strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, relationship building skills and the ability to influence.
  • A self-starter, able to work autonomously and within teams when necessary. Elements of entrepreneurialism yet guided by clear analytical skills where there is an ability to demonstrate return on investment and justification for actions.
  • Accountable by nature with the desire to make an impact. Keen to take ownership of a role with confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Strong portfolio clearly demonstrating an ability to approach different projects from the brands perspective keeping within their core values and design.

Customer Experience Specialist (German / French Speaking)

Permanent / Full time / 9-5pm Mon-Fri / Banbury based

Our team of Customer Experience Specialists hold the starring role in creating an exceptional experience for Joma Jewellery and Katie Loxton customers.

As the successful candidate you will be able to deliver outstanding service supporting the growth of our expanding European market by building strong rapport with our agents and stockists. You will be a natural at offering a positive and personal experience to wholesale customers by phone, email and face to face at tradeshows and events.

You will be someone who loves a varied role and working as part of a team. You enjoy demonstrating an innate passion for representing the Company in our brand’s voice and take pride in ensuring a fantastic experience for our customers and clients.

Role Responsibilities

  • Delivering excellent customer service to EU wholesale customers & sales agents daily via phone, email and face to face
  • Responsible for supporting the growth of both national and international accounts
  • Achieving sales targets through upselling and supporting agent
  • Receiving and processing orders
  • Setting up new accounts
  • Attending seasonal tradeshows and sales events as required, occasionally outside of normal working hours
  • Maintaining and protecting customer data in line with our policies
  • Informing customers of accurate order lead times
  • Maintaining a professional attitude at all times
  • Processing returns
  • Professionally handling and complaints
  • Other adhoc duties as reasonably requested by the Customer Experience Supervisor

You will work directly with our Design Team Manager, Digital Designer and Creative Director to deliver digital graphics on time and to budget. You will be responsible for delivering digital artwork for use across the website, social media, email and advertising.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide consistent meticulous graphic illustration + presentation artwork to the design team
  • Creating clear typography graphics and messages for use online, as part of our brand development.
  • Create key seasonal and branding graphics for use on the web, email and social
  • Maintain comprehensible digital asset library of graphic artwork
  • Follow seasonal department calendars and be accountable for delivering to critical path
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of artwork and digital production specifications
  • Taking projects from concept to completion
  • Assist the wider graphic design team when needed, e.g. creating product and lifestyle imagery for use in brochures, web campaigns and social media. Ensuring work is delivered on time and to specification.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Passion for digital design + creative approach to jewellery and fashion graphics
  • Technical digital capability – editing videos
  • Graphics software skills – Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign is essential. Specialist additional digital graphics software skills are desirable

Midweight Graphic Designer

Permanent / Full time / 9-5pm Mon-Fri / Banbury based

 

An opportunity to join a rapidly growing company that retails products across Europe and the US. You will work directly with our Lead Designer, Design Team Manager and Creative Director to deliver graphics on time and to budget with our critical path. You will be responsible for delivering artwork for use in brochures, online, the point of sale, advertising and PR. You must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience and a design related degree.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide consistent meticulous graphic illustration and presentation artwork to the design team with a specific focus on POS, packaging, marketing, brochures, catalogues and printed materials.
  • In addition to designing in 2D, the applicant should have strong 3D skills to propose structural concepts, with the ability to create physical mock-ups
  • Develop designs from initial concept and content generation through to the finished product
  • Creating clear typography graphics and messages for use online, in-store and on merchandise as part of our brand development.
  • Create key seasonal and branding graphics for use in brochures, web, and point of sale in-store displays.
  • Create key imagery for a marketing team to use across multiple platforms
  • Be responsible for image editing, retouching and graphic layouts from concept to delivery
  • Work with design teams to collate all imagery + product information for selling tools
